Topnotch students from Cebu and La Union dominate nationwide traveling quiz show
Adriana Pristine Yap from Sacred Heart School-Hijas de Jesus in Cebu City aced the grade school division while Brylle Jaden Louise Ordoño from BHC Educational Institution Inc. in San Fernando City, La Union reigned supreme in the junior high school division of Diwa Pasiklaban sa Paaralan, the only ICT-integrated traveling quiz show in the country, for school year 2018-2019.
Yap outwitted her opponents with 575 overall points. Trailing close behind, bagging first runner-up and second runner-up spots in the grade school division were Rien Lewis Pecson of Integrated Montessori Center in Taguig City and Kody Briones of Emmanuel Christian School in Sta. Rosa City, Laguna, respectively.
Meanwhile, Ordoño has clearly won a thumping victory with 780 overall points in the junior high school division. Janry Clark Nacilla of Liceo de San Pablo in San Pablo City, Laguna and Arturo Miguel Saquilayan of Pateros Catholic School in Pateros City landed first and second runner-up, respectively.
Pasiklaban sa Paaralan accounts its continuing success to the unyielding drive for innovation of its organizer, Diwa Learning Systems Inc. (Diwa), the country’s leading provider of print and digital K to 12 educational resources.
For 18 years, this inter-school quiz competition has been promoting the innovative use of technology in learning, instilling the spirit of healthy competition, and encouraging the constant pursuit of excellence among students and schools.
