Diwa celebrates its 35-year journey with partner schools
Leading K-to-12 educational resources provider Diwa Learning Systems Inc. (Diwa) recently celebrated its valuable partnership with educational institutions in a 2-day event called #DIWA35 Partners’ Night held at Casa Ibarra, Pasay City last October 3 and 4. The event was attended by more than 1,000 school leaders from Diwa’s distinguished partner schools from all over the country.
The highlight of the event is the Recognition of Innovation Partners, where institutions were given the Innovation Leadership Citation for their loyal dedication to move the nation forward through education with Diwa. The institutions recognized are Cainta Catholic College, Canossa School, Colegio de San Jose, Colegio San Agustin, Dominican College of Tarlac, Emmanuel Christian School, Escuela de Sophia Caloocan, Inc., Holy Infant Academy, Juan Sumulong Memorial Schools System, Miriam College, Roosevelt College Inc., Saint Joseph’s Academy, Saint Michael’s College of Laguna, Saint Paul College, Saint Peter’s College of Toril, San Isidro Parish School, Unida Christian Colleges, University of San Jose Recoletos, Diocesan Schools of Cebu, San Pablo Diocesan Catholic Schools System, Tarlac Private Schools Association (TAPSA), Central Philippines University, Colegio de la Purisima Concepcion, Don Bosco Technical Institute, Ecumenical Christian College, FAITH Catholic School, Integrated Montessori Center, Lourdes School of Mandaluyong, Olivarez College, Saint Andrew’s School, Saint Joseph College Maasin, Saint Louis College, Saint Scholastica’s Academy, Saint Vincent College, San Beda University, San Roque Catholic School, University of San Carlos—North Campus, University of San Carlos—South Campus, University of Santo Tomas, Manila Archdiocesan and Parochial Schools Association (MAPSA), and Notre Dame Educational Association (NDEA).
Aside from receiving commemorative plaques, the institutions were given slots in the Superior Learning for School Leaders (SL2), Diwa’s exclusive learning tour for school leaders, which will be brought to Hong Kong for the very first time in the first quarter of 2019.
Diwa also took the opportunity to introduce Business Weeks, Checkbox and Diwa Innovation Nation, its latest efforts to move the nation forward through education.
Business Weeks is an enterprise management training program that gives senior high school students a unique work immersion experience. Based on a computer-assisted simulation game, it enhances students’ theoretical and practical understanding of Finance, Production, Marketing, and Human Resources.
Meanwhile, Checkbox is a gamified assessment portal for grade school and junior high school that develops mastery of subject areas.
Lastly, Diwa Innovation Nation is a Partner Enrichment Program (PEP) that provides educators with opportunities for personal and professional development. Members of Diwa Innovation Nation enjoy free access to the Diwa Innovators Toolbox; they get the latest updates about Continuing Professional Development trainings they can attend; they can earn points by engaging with Diwa online and in-person activities; they can use points to unlock more resources; and they get perks and freebies from Diwa Innovation Nation Advocates.
These efforts reflect Diwa’s commitment to be at the forefront of innovation in education and to move the nation towards progress.
