Diwa Innovation Lab is a pop-up science exposition that brings new technologies within reach of students and encourages their love for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.

Launched in SY 2017-2018 as part of the celebration of #DIWA35, Diwa Innovation Lab visits schools around the Philippines with the goal of elevating students' learning experience.

DIWA INNOVATION LAB LAUNCH AT NYSTESC

 

July 24, 2017 - Lucban, Quezon

Diwa Innovation Lab was launched last July 24, 2017 at the 2017 National Youth Science, Technology, and Environment Summer Camp (NYSTESC), which was held at Batis Aramin Resort and Hotel in Lucban, Quezon. With the help of the Philippine Society of Youth Science Clubs (PSYSC), Diwa Innovation Lab showcased technologies like virtual reality, drones and robots, as well as demonstrations from the Meteorology and the Bato Balani Science Investigatory Project labs to junior high school students.

 

FIRST LEG: CEBU CITY

October 20, 2017 - University of San Carlos-South, Cebu City

The first leg of Diwa Innovation Lab was held last October 20, 2017 at University of San Carlos - South Campus at Cebu City. Aside from the showcase of the five different labs, Melandro Santos gave a workshop entitled Essentials of a Winning Science Investigatory Project, which aims to help students create science investigatory projects by equipping them with knowledge on proper investigatory project methodologies, data gathering, use of review-related literature (RRL), and analysis of results.
