Public Schools in Marawi receive free educational resources

Public schools in Marawi City received more than 2,000 boxes of textbooks, magazines, assorted encyclopedias, and school supplies last May 4, 2018 in support of the continuous rehabilitation of the city after the siege that happened in 2017.

The turnover ceremony was headed by Dr. Corazon Umblero, University of the Immaculate Conception Director for Community Development Services (UIC-CDS). She was assisted by The Fraternal Order of the Eagles—Davao, returnees from the program of the UIC, and some volunteers from the Congregation of the Religious of the Virgin Mary.

This initiative is part of Diwa Learning Systems Inc. and Bato Balani Foundation Inc.’s Tulong sa Paaralan, Tulay sa Kaunlaran (TSP-TSK) and Support Marawi Schools Project. TSP-TSK is a school development program that provides textbooks, learning materials, and multimedia resources to underserved communities in the Philippines.
