St. Mary’s Academy of Sto. Niño Hosts Seminar on AI Tools for Teachers

To prepare its faculty for digital education, St. Mary’s Academy of Sto. Niño hosted a seminar titled "AI Tools for Teachers" on 25 May 2026.

The session focused on the ethical and effective use of artificial intelligence in education, guiding teachers on how to responsibly integrate AI into their workflows without compromising academic integrity.

Navigating AI with Responsibility

The workshop addressed the opportunities and challenges AI brings to the classroom. Teachers explored practical ways to use AI to streamline lesson planning, design assessments, and generate engaging learning materials.

The seminar emphasized establishing clear boundaries to ensure AI is used ethically and securely to enhance, rather than replace, student critical thinking and teacher guidance.

The event featured Mr. Eduard Christian Papa, a STEM faculty member and science varsity coach from La Salle Green Hills. Mr. Papa brings over a decade of experience in publishing learning materials and facilitating technology integration seminars.

During the session, Mr. Papa shared advice on how teachers can align AI capabilities with curriculum objectives. Educators learned how to safely navigate digital tools, automate routine tasks, and dedicate more time to student mentorship.

A Combined Effort for Digital Readiness

This training was brought to the campus through the partnership of Diwa Learning Systems Inc. and Bato Balani Foundation Inc. Both organizations continue to support local schools by providing relevant technology training to help faculty members stay future-ready.
