Empowering Language Educators: Diwa Hosts Masterclass on SHS English and Filipino Instruction

To further support instructional excellence in the digital age, Diwa Learning Systems Inc. recently conducted a specialized virtual training session entitled "How to Use the Diwa SHS Textbooks for English and Filipino." Held via Zoom on May 15, 2026, the event was part of the  "How to Become a Highly Effective Teacher" seminar series.

The webinar provided Senior High School faculty with a comprehensive guide to maximizing their instructional materials. Leading the session was Juco Antonio Rivera, a seasoned educator and licensed professional teacher. As an accomplished author of several Diwa textbooks and supplemental magazines, Mr. Rivera provided invaluable firsthand insights into how these resources are crafted to bridge the gap between curriculum standards and engaging classroom delivery.

During the two-hour session, participants explored strategies for aligning lesson plans with the latest national requirements while utilizing the textbooks' built-in features to foster student participation. By focusing on both content and practical application, the training empowered teachers to transform their language and research subjects into more dynamic learning experiences.

This initiative was successfully organized in collaboration with Bato Balani Foundation Inc. (BBFI), reflecting a shared commitment to providing Filipino educators with the professional development tools necessary to thrive in modern classrooms.
