More than 400 educators from the Association of Philippine Schools Overseas (APSO) came together on 14 July 2026, for a meaningful learning session focused on fostering safe and supportive learning environments. The webinar, titled "Safe Schools, Safe Learners," was organized in partnership with Diwa Learning Systems Inc. and the Bato Balani Foundation Inc. (BBFI).
During the event, the international teaching community explored critical methods for creating and sustaining safe school communities that prioritize the well-being, protection, and holistic development of every learner. The session featured Dr. Myreen Cleofe, a registered psychologist and clinical psychology doctorate holder who currently serves as the Chair of the CEAP-NCR Guidance and Counseling Committee. Bringing strong professional credentials to the webinar, Dr. Cleofe shared practical strategies, best practices, and valuable insights designed to empower the overseas schools to strengthen child protection and promote a culture of safety within their campuses.
The educators gained actionable takeaways that they can readily apply in their respective educational settings. The enthusiastic engagement and commitment of these participating teachers highlight APSO's ongoing dedication to creating safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environments for Filipino learners around the world.
