Holy Infant College in Tacloban City recently hosted the 14th run of the 2026 PEAC In-Service Training (INSET) for Region VIII (Eastern Visayas), continuing a national effort to support teachers and raise academic standards.
The training, held from 15 to 21 June 2026, brought together private school teachers and administrators from across the region to improve their teaching and learn about recent curriculum updates.
Improving Regional Teaching Standards
The week-long program focused on giving participants practical teaching tools, subject frameworks, and curriculum updates. Holy Infant College served as a central hub where Eastern Visayas educators could collaborate, discuss administrative challenges, and align local classroom goals with new national standards for Junior and Senior High School.
Workshops emphasized immediate classroom applications. Experts guided teachers and administrators through tracks designed to improve lesson design, boost student engagement, and integrate flexible teaching strategies tailored to Philippine basic education.
On-Site Teaching Support
As a key partner, Diwa Learning Systems Inc. provided instructional support throughout the seven-day event. Diwa set up an interactive booth on campus, giving participants access to textbooks, educational tools, and digital solutions aligned with national learning standards.
A Shared Commitment to Quality
In addition to exploring educational materials, participants received pens and supplemental magazines to help with lesson planning. The event highlighted the dedication of Region VIII educators to improving their craft. By connecting national requirements with practical classroom tools, Diwa continues to support Philippine schools as this training series moves forward.
