Recognizing that strong alliances between home and school are vital to student success, Lucban Academy hosted an insightful seminar titled "Partnering with Parents: Effective Communication, Conflict Resolution, Collaboration" on 26 May 2026.

The morning session brought together principals, coordinators, and faculty members from both the Junior High School (JHS) and Senior High School (SHS) departments. The professional development initiative was organized through a joint effort with Diwa Learning Systems Inc. and Bato Balani Foundation Inc. (BBFI), highlighting a shared commitment to building holistic educational support systems.

Fostering Collaboration and Holistic Student Success

The seminar-workshop focused on equipping educators with actionable insights and practical strategies to maintain healthy, constructive parent-teacher relationships. The discussions emphasized that active collaboration between educators and parents is essential for helping students succeed holistically—not just academically, but also socially and emotionally.

The session was facilitated by Ms. Mary Grace Espiel, an accomplished English teacher, textbook author, and research coordinator at Quezon City Science High School who brings her rich expertise in teaching and educational administration.

During her talk, Ms. Espiel shared proven methodologies that teachers can use to communicate effectively with families, especially when addressing delicate concerns regarding a child's progress. Rather than a traditional lecture, the guest speaker kept the Lucban Academy educators highly engaged by posing interactive questions and facilitating a hands-on, collaborative activity focused on real-world strategies for managing classroom challenges and addressing parental concerns with empathy and professionalism.

By empowering its academic leadership and teaching staff with these critical communication tools, Lucban Academy continues to strengthen its community ties, ensuring that parents and teachers walk hand-in-hand toward the holistic development of every learner.
