Montessori Academy of Valenzuela Reimagines Classroom Engagement for the New School Year

As the academic community prepares for a fresh start, Montessori Academy of Valenzuela (MAV) recently hosted an inspiring In-Service Training (INSET) to revitalize instructional strategies and teacher professionalism. Held on May 26, 2026, the morning session focused on the theme of authentic engagement, challenging the faculty to look beyond traditional methods to connect with the modern generation of learners.

The seminar was led by Mr. Eleazar Enguero, a veteran educator and prolific Diwa author with over two decades of expertise in music education and pedagogy. Enguero's discussion centered on the "professional self," teaching educators how to present themselves in a way that commands attention naturally and uniquely. He emphasized that in an era of constant digital distraction, teachers must evolve their personal brand and classroom strategies to remain relevant and impactful for the younger generation.

Participants were asked to illustrate their personal "wellness essentials" within a four-box framework, explaining how maintaining their own physical and mental health is foundational to being an effective mentor.
