Silliman University hosted private school teachers and leaders from the Negros Island Region (NIR) for the 13th run of the 2026 PEAC In-Service Training (INSET) from 8 to 14 June 2026.
Held at the university's Senior High School Building in Dumaguete City, the event allowed NIR educators to learn from experts, discuss curriculum updates, and share teaching practices.
Practical Tips for Regional Classrooms
The training focused on turning teaching theories into practical classroom strategies. Bringing together educators from Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor, the event provided a space to discuss common school challenges and find ways to keep students engaged.
During the workshops, experts guided participants on how to improve lesson plans and use flexible teaching methods that fit the current needs of Filipino students.
On-Site Support from Diwa
Diwa Learning Systems Inc. was on-site throughout the event to give teachers easy access to learning materials. Diwa set up a display booth offering textbooks, digital tools, and resources aligned with national learning standards.
Teachers who visited the booth also received giveaways, including pens and supplemental educational magazines to help with their upcoming lessons.
The event highlighted the eagerness of NIR educators to keep improving their skills. As the PEAC INSET series continues across the country, Diwa remains dedicated to providing local schools with the tools and support they need.
