Schola de Vita hosted an accredited professional development seminar titled "Preparing Teachers for Inclusion: Learning to Formulate Behavior Management Techniques for Diverse Learners" on 19 June 2026.
The afternoon training session gathered school administrators, teachers, and staff at the campus court to address the diverse needs of modern learners. The workshop focused heavily on strategic behavior management and practical instructional routines designed to build an equitable, welcoming classroom environment for all types of students.
An Interactive Roadmap to the Inclusive Classroom
The core lecture mapped out the definitive characteristics of a successful inclusive classroom. Educators explored the pillars of a diverse learning environment, including differentiated instructions, collaborative learning, accessible technologies, and flexible assessment models designed around student strengths rather than their weaknesses.
A major highlight of the event was a hands-on workshop where faculty members collaborated to create an "Empathy Map Canvas." This practical exercise challenged teachers to map out exactly what their students think, feel, see, and hear in a school day. After mapping their insights, participants took the floor to share their outputs, paving the way for the final segment of the seminar: concrete planning for inclusive classroom execution.
Collaborative Strategies and Shared Open Forum Insights
During the proceedings and open forum, the academy's faculty engaged in a rich exchange of classroom experiences. Seasoned teachers and administrators shared reliable routines and helpful practices, emphasizing that the physical layout of a room and consistent rules play a vital role in inclusive education.
The discussion underscored that managing multiple intelligences requires strong collaboration among educators handling the same set of students. By sharing observations and utilizing assistive learning resources, teachers can better design experiential lessons that connect directly with a child's social and emotional growth.
The workshop was led by Mr. Juco Antonio Rivera, a De La Salle University alumnus, licensed professional teacher since 2006, and full-time instructor at CIIT College of Arts and Technology. As an accomplished author of several Diwa textbooks and an experienced theater actor, Mr. Rivera utilized his multi-faceted background to deliver an engaging, high-energy session on managing diverse student behaviors.
A Continued Drive for Educational Excellence
This professional development seminar was successfully brought to Schola de Vita through the coordination and support of Diwa Learning Systems Inc. and Bato Balani Foundation Inc. As part of their ongoing commitment to local school networks, both organizations partnered to provide the speaker and support the event, helping local educators gain the accredited skills necessary to champion inclusivity in their daily teachings.
