On April 15, 2026, the leadership team and faculty of Unida Christian Colleges (UCC) gathered for a transformative spiritual and professional development session entitled “Servant Leadership in Christian Education: Upholding Work Ethics, Integrity, and Commitment to Selfless Service.”
The seminar served as a foundational event for the institution, reinforcing the core values of integrity and selfless service that define the UCC community.
Leadership with a Divine Purpose
The initiative was made possible through the support of Diwa Learning Systems Inc. and Bato Balani Foundation Inc., acting as the official partner for the event. The session provided a space for the school’s leaders to reflect on their roles not just as educators, but as stewards of a higher calling.
The program featured guest speaker Mr. Mel Arcena, whose insights centered on the concept of Christ-centered leadership. He reminded the participants of a fundamental truth in Christian education: that all authority and power come from God. The discussion emphasized that daily efforts should be dedicated to Him rather than for human praise, encouraging a perspective that sees educational work as a commitment to moral excellence.

Upholding Integrity and Work Ethics
The seminar went beyond theory, focusing on the practical application of work ethics in a school setting. Key themes included:
Integrity in Action: Prioritizing honesty and transparency in all administrative and academic dealings.
Selfless Service: Shifting the focus from personal achievement to the collective growth of the students and the UCC community.
Divine Responsibility: Understanding that leadership is a trust granted by God, requiring humility and constant self-reflection.
A Stronger Foundation for UCC
By revisiting these core principles, UCC ensures that its leadership team remains grounded in the school's mission. The event concluded with a renewed sense of purpose among the staff, who are now better prepared to lead with a heart of service.
As UCC moves forward with its various academic and digital initiatives, this seminar ensures that every advancement is built upon a solid foundation of Christian character and professional dedication.
